Taking a pause of blogging / optc
Blogger is not made for multi user administration.
Too much time passing through editing guides for multiple pages alone and since i don't own a webspace server with a better platform for multi-admins such as wordpress i'll take a pause.
Since people tend to view videos more than written guides i feel wasting my time and not helping that much.

I will focus on coding and databases.
Maybe some time i'll make an OPTC project for a friendsearcher ..we'll see.

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate this site. I've been playing OPTC for over 600 days and check this site between 10 and 20 times a week. It's AWESOME!

ReplyDeleteI'm closing in on 400 days as well and I have to say written guides are far superior especially in terms of detail and planning; so that explains why I always refer friends to this blog first and foremost. Great quality content. Thanks a ton.

ReplyDeleteI find this site invaluable as well, it's much easier referring to a written guide than watching a long ass video. Also there's information like where to find evolvers! Thanks for your hard work
ReplyDeleteI just want to thank you for your hard work. I've been playing for almost 200 days and since I discovered your guides it had been easier to play. For me, the written guides are far more complete and covers more details. Sorry for the broken english. Cheers from Brazil

ReplyDeleteI've been playing for 450 days and your guides (Raidboss mostly but also some Fortnights when I was a beginner) were extremely precious. The Tierlist is awesome too because it helps to find out best combinations and to focus on most powerful versatile units (pure farm but also skillbooks and cotton candy). Thanks for all your job!

Are use your webpage to help me get through so much of this game. You are very helpful videos are OK but they don't show you all the various teams that can be used you give a variety of team options to try. Please enjoy the break but don't give up on us please you are very helpful

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say that YT videos are absolute garbage and having to listen to someone drone is much less efficient than reading a guide. Your decision is your decision of course, just wanted to stress my feelings on video guides as I feel they do not replace written ones in the slightest.
ReplyDeleteWe faced a problem due this blog. like me, im one of those who write here, but main problem atm, is we cant edit and make other posts that we do ours self. so all work done by now, cant be edited others then the owner. so he faced a hard time keeping it up. truly verry sorry about that. We have been discussing getting another blog, where we can do each others work. but its alot of hard work

Shame to hear about the limitations with blogspot though it makes sense. I'll be happy to follow along again when/if you find a better alternative option. Maybe a wiki which can be edited by multiple people might work? All the best.

ReplyDeleteSecond: Depedning on the metric you use to measure your impact, I'll say anecdotally this site has made a large impact. I utilize the site often because I prefer written guides. They're more time efficient to users (reading is faster than listening, or can allow for a specific reference when you don't need to see the whole guide.)
Third: When people no longer have interest in a hobby, they absolutely should move on.
